Ted Mercer is the biological father of Sutton Mercer, Emma Becker, and Laurel Mercer. It is unknown if he knows that Rebecca is Sutton and Emma's biological mother. He thinks that Sutton (Emma) knows something about their real mom.

Season One[]
Ted has gone to great lengths to keep his secret hidden until Rebecca came back to town and Emma and Sutton started investigating there past. It's revealed he had an affair with Rebecca but there is a darker secret he has.
Season Two[]
Kristin may file for a divorce with Ted. He tries to win back Kristin but she can't trust him. After going to marriage counsling Ted lies about telling Kristin everything and is upset knowing what will happen if he reveals his secret to Kristin. when Alec fell from the roof he landed on him and was killed.
