Alex, is Emma's only friend in Las Vegas. She has been best friends with Emma since an incident while the latter was at a previous foster home; they both fell over during cross country tryouts. After beginning to pose as Sutton, Emma still continued to text Alex and during Seven Minutes in Heaven, after Sutton's body was confirmed as Emma's, Emma was worried that Alex would inform police and "blow her lies wide open". She appeared on the news, interviewed after Emma's alleged death; then texted Emma on her old Blackberry to find out what the hell was going on.
